Since going to direct to my watch I have been getting frequent Signal Loss messages while I am wearing my watch. Suggestions? Also are we ever likely to see updates with shorter intervals than 5 minutes?

I just started using the direct to watch feature and I’m stoked! I imagine it’ll only improve from here. I’m looking forward to a Garmin connection in the future.

Dana completely ignores the fact that most if not all experimental injectables that were not designed to prevent infection, nor contain attenuated virus, offer no immunty..... Are mislabeled under the catch all term "Vaccine". Vaccine now means everything, so it means nothing.

As a Type 2 diabetic in France, I sometimes wish I could just take insulin (despite being terrified of needles) because it's frustrating when the smallest amount of carbs makes me go high and feeling like crap but I have no choice, it's either don't eat carbs or feel like junk from the high blood sugars afterwards so I wish I could have a way to fix it that is not just "wait it out and drink tons of water to flush it out". I was diagnosed in 2015, at the age of 34. I had gestational diabetes in 2005 and had to take insulin then, and was warned that I could develop type 2 diabetes within the next 10 years, so when I felt the extreme thirst, frequent urination and fatigue, I knew what it might be, and my doctor prescribed the blood test and the diagnosis was made, thankfully my A1C wasn't too high and I managed it through diet and exercise for 4 years before I had to start taking medication because my A1C increased. So I started taking Metformin and have been for the past 4 years, and when my doctor increased the dosage last year, the side effects were awful (although I had no side effects when I first started on Metformin) so she changed it to Stagid which is a different type of metformin and it's better on the side effects part. However I still get high after consuming carbs, and my fasting blood sugars are often in the 140s. And although it lowered my A1C at first, it's slowly going back up again. But the protocol from the health authority here for Type 2 says that you have to go through several stages of oral medication and combinations (you start on monotherapy, then bitherapy and when that becomes insufficient, you can be started on a mix of oral medicine and insulin and if you don't follow that protocol, the insulin won't be paid for. We actually don't get prescribed a glucometer and test strips either unless we take medicine that could make you have hypoglycemia (which metformin doesn't). I have a glucometer and pay for test strips out of pocket, but only check sometimes in the morning or when I don't feel good. From time to time I decide to check consistantly several times a day for a few days to a week. My doctor only bases her medicine prescription decisions on my A1C which is what is recommended, but doesn't take into consideration how high my blood sugars get after meals. She tells me not to deprive myself and to allow myself to have treats every now and then, but when I know how awful it makes me feel when I eat them, it makes it not so enjoyable and eating as a whole is a struggle when it feels like just looking at a loaf of bread will make me go high.

Hi, It is wonderful to hear you are living a long healthy life through being active running and training. Today I'm 51 years of age and have had T1D since I was 13. I too completed a 21klm marathon in my early 40's. I got an exercise physiologist through a gym who trained me twice weekly for approx 18 months. It was there that my diabetes took a turn that I didn't even know was possible. My insulin injections had more than halved and my HBA1c went down to 6.5%. My endocrinologist was amazed and asked what was I doing so I told him. He said is it ok if I use you as a case study for my research and I said yes. I kept running for over 10 years I felt invincible and craved more challenges by running more fun runs marathons whatever I could do I did it! Sadly, my knees packed it in with chrondomalacia and I've had to give up the running but I rode my mountain bike instead. I was using the Libre Freestyle sensor but now I'm finally going on an insulin pump and Dexcom sensor I can't wait! To all my Diabuddies out there go above and beyond with your T1D and push it beyond the boundaries it is possible!

Thanks for sharing! I have Type 1 diabetes. I was diagnosed when I was 24. I found out from a pre employment medical exam for a Fire Department. I pushed forward and became a Paramedic with the Fire Department. I'm 42 and I'm studying to be a Surgical Assistant on a Trauma Team. I don't use a pump. I use a insulin pen. I swim, snowboard, surf and weight lift. Stay hydrated with water. Drink protein shakes. Foods high in fiber will stabilize blood sugar. Chicken is great. Sugar cravings happen. Just make sure to limit foods high in sugar. I drink diet soda. Pizza tho is my weakness! Keep some candy on you because lows can be scary; weakness, excessive sweating are common symptoms.

My husband, of 45 years, was diagnosed when we were in H.S. He played football and baseball, and went on to play baseball in college. I have admired him so much, for his overall attitude. Unless you know him personally, you would never know any of his personal struggles getting through college, medical school, internship & residency. He's had his challenges, to be sure. However, he has never been a fan of anyone treating him differently than others, thus, unless absolutely necessary, he's never really shared. That has been his decision, and I've respected that. I equally respect you two intelligent, beautiful, young women, for being so candid in sharing your journey w/diabetes. "Be unapologetically yourself." I LOVE THAT maturity! I sincerely send so much positive energy & blessings to you both!!!!🙏🏽🥰😉

There is no GOOD time to be diagnosed. I think 13 sucks, because it's a difficult time WITHOUT Type 1. But it can be good for your ability to understand that you need to take care of it. My BROTHER was diagnosed at 13. I was diagnosed 38 years after my brother (when I was 43). It didn't even occur to me that I had Type 1. In retrospect, I feel like an idiot that I didn't connect it-- but I WAS in First Grade when he was diagnosed!
